This course is aimed at introducing to the design of integrated transceivers for wireless applications. Attendees will gain knowledge about the fundamental parameters describing system performances, insights into different radio architectures and the ability to design the following building blocks in CMOS technology: low noise amplifiers, up and down converters, power amplifiers, oscillators and frequency synthesizers. The course comprises some lab activities where the attendees will learn how to use CAD tools to design and evaluate the performance of the building blocks in a wireless transceiver.
