The course aims to introduce students to the ideas, works, and perspectives of some of the most important Western political thinkers from Machiavelli to Mazzini and Marx, about issues such as human rights, conflict, revolution, colonialism, and imperialism. On completion of this course, students should have familiarized themselves with some of the most important strands of thought about modern international political order and relations.
