The course will explore a broad range of ancient Egyptian source material. The students will be trained to recognise material culture and the cross-cultural interactions which have shaped pharaonic society. Through critical analysis of material culture and grounded in case studies, the students will be able to examine broader questions of materiality, agency and social identity.
