The precourse serves as an introduction for students little familiar with the archaeologies of the ancient Mediterranean. It introduces them to the Prehistory, the archaeology of western Asia, and the Greco-Roman archaeology. The attendace is not mandatory but can be a requirement for participation in some elective activities.
