This course aims at understanding freshwater ecosystem structure and function to evaluate climate change impacts on ecosystems, ecosystem management and adaptation techniques.
It includes:
Introduction on ecosystems, their properties and their functions.
Details on the effects of climate change on freshwater ecosystems, mainly lakes and rivers, including abiotic and biotic response.
Description of adaptation and nature based solutions.
