Innovation, digitalisation and sustainability represent three key challenges for individuals, corporates and institutions for the next future.

Policy efforts to promote a sustainable society and innovative economic system have become more common and strong in the latest years, especially in the European Union.

Policies for innovation and sustainability prioritize advancing research and development, supporting the use of renewable technologies, and fostering partnerships among governments, industries, and academia. They aim to drive economic growth while reducing environmental harm through incentives like tax benefits for green initiatives and stricter regulations on unsustainable practices. Furthermore, these policies focus on education and raising public awareness to ensure lasting commitment to sustainable development.

Private and public companies are called to take part in the transition to more sustainable and inclusive societies and digital tools and innovation are believed to be key in achieving the objectives.

This BIP focuses on these three challenges to provide students with a broader understanding of these topics in their degrees. Indeed, while sustainability and innovation are indeed cited in many undergraduate and graduate courses, there is an emerging need to improve the understanding and knowledge on these issues.

Additionally, the international dimension of the initiative will enable students to exchange knowledge on these topics, but also on the different learning environments in which they are generally embedded.

Finally, students will be called to work in teams to provide a presentation on a topic of their choice and to present a first version of it during the physical mobility to receive feedback by lecturers. Also, to obtain the ECTS, they will have to submit a team presentation and a personal report for evaluation.

Summarising, the BIP has the following objectives:

- Increase knowledge and understanding of the challenges for corporates in the near future: digitalisation, sustainability and innovation.

- Allow an exchange of ideas and practices between students and lecturers of different European countries on these topics and on their learning/teaching practices

- Improve soft skills required for teamwork and public presentations.

- Increase the participation of Students and researchers in International Mobility Programmes.
